Country Lane Bowling Alley

“We’ve got an old chicken coop on the property. Let’s build a bowling alley,” said one creative Wood & Clay client. Built on the footprint and original slab of the old coop, existing windows and doors were repurposed in the new structure to maintain a piece of the history and charm of the property. A reclaimed boat serves as the ball storage, offset by newly-constructed built-ins to house state-of-the-art appliances. In keeping with the owners’ taste, the bowling alley is discreetly housed in a simple structure, nestled within the landscape so that one happens upon it, just around the corner and across the footbridge.
